Third party quotes

We have comparisons and information on the gold sector that no one else can provide.

GoldNerds would be happy to supply the media with  information and comments about a specific company, (eg. it's EV/resource ounce) as long as any information is printed with accreditation. Thanks. Email us here with requests for expert independent quotes. (We are funded entirely by subscribers, and don't accept advertising or commissions from anyone.)

Quotes from our founders and investor-researchers

These are the people who know and use GoldNerds more than anyone. They are all investors who were drawn to help create the service, because they all wanted this kind of data for their own investments. They are paid on a royalty basis and are available for interviews. These are personal views and comments, not necesssarily GoldNerds views, and are not intended as recommendations or advice. (See our disclaimer ).

"Over the years I've subscribed to several different services, and I used to scour websites for fundamental information before I bought a share. GoldNerds is the dream source of all the data on the gold sector that I've been looking for over the last ten years. Now it's right at my fingertips. I'm delighted with our team of 12 investors and researchers. There's no way I could get this information on my own."

Dr David Evans, ASX investor for 18 years, and Founding Director, GoldNerds.

"I have been following the gold sector closely now for 6 years and am amazed at some of the valuations we've uncovered with the research. These are companies that no one seems to have noticed and I certainly wouldn't have come across them without this kind of help."
"GoldNerds helped me pick a good time to exit. For example: Norton’s half yearly came out and their balance sheet had deteriorated substantially. I sold at $0.48 and the share price is now $0.395. Only time will tell whether this was a good move but with GoldNerds data I could see the financial risk associated with this company had increased dramatically."

Troy Schwensen, GoldNerds Research Analyst, and Editor, Global Speculator

"I've been following precious metal companies here and in North America for over 4 years. A product like GoldNerds would have saved days of  tedious trawling through share listings in search of undiscovered companies with gold exposure. Its a great starting point to short list undervalued candidates. One of my favourite tools is EV per mineable ounce, which immediately identifies those companies at similar stages of development which are comparatively expensive. Whilst this can be attributed to factors such as sovereign risk, highly prospective ground or large multimillion ounce deposits, there can be other agendas at play such as broker recommendations based on lucrative underwriting deals. GoldNerds restores the balance of objectivity and empowers investors to undertake their own due diligence. This is not a product for passive investors expecting to be spoonfed with stock tips. The imminent release of a North American version will be well worth the wait."

Jan Schwensen, GoldNerds Research Analyst, and Editor, Global Speculator

GoldNerds helps me to avoid companies with marginal resource grades and companies in a difficult financial position. Since it started, I have personally invested in stocks with 1 Moz or more with good grades and no hedging, based on the value of the company compared to resource ounces. I'd wish I'd known some of this information a long time ago. If you go back and look at the 52 week highs and lows you will notice gains in the order of 100-500% with a few losers based on this formula. In recent times CGX, HEG*, KAL & SBM have been my best performers. Generally, I sell half my stock every time it doubles. No need to be too greedy. It is always of course a question of timing but I believe these gains are possible in the future. *HEG was selected on potential- a particular category developed especially for GoldNerds.

Bert Aarts, Investor and GoldNerds Research Analyst

"For any single investor, researching the whole gold sector would be daunting. I use GoldNerds as the ultimate reference library for identifying new opportunities amongst junior exploration stocks. I enjoy the snapshot approach which highlights the stocks I would like to further research."

Wayne Lennox, GoldNerds Research Analyst and Investor

"When I started researching gold companies I had no idea it would be so difficult to find basic information like their proven resources. I'd expect to find it on the home page, but instead I'd have to read complex multi-project resource statements from an out-of-date summary page, then I'd have to read the latest announcements as well. And, for some companies, they'd have sold off parts of resources without stating how much. Or they have announced an upgrade to a project, but listed a subtotal for a vein within a project. Gah! It was like solving a  Maths 101 quiz."

Joanne Nova, Investor & Founding Director of GoldNerds
